On October 7, our Barboursville team joined WSAZ’s Studio 3 to talk about body contouring. Stephanie Welker, FNP-BC led the conversation while Cami, our esthetician, was strapped into InMode EvolveX on live TV so viewers could see exactly what a treatment looks like.
What EvolveX does
EvolveX works on the body in layers. Applicators deliver radiofrequency heat to skin and fat, and electrical muscle stimulation to the muscle underneath. As Stephanie explained on air, it is similar in idea to a TENS unit, but much more extensive, and it adds heat. The heat works on stubborn fat while the contractions work the muscle.
There are three modes, and we choose based on your goals:
- Tite – radiofrequency heat for loose or crepey skin.
- Tone – muscle stimulation to build and firm muscle.
- Transform – heat plus muscle stimulation for areas with stubborn fat.
Which areas can you treat?
The abdomen is the most popular area, which is why Stephanie showed it on Cami’s abdomen on air. EvolveX also treats the arms, thighs, buttocks and flanks. Because the applicators strap in place, more than one area can often be treated in the same visit.
What does it feel like?
It feels like a strong workout contraction with warmth. You and your provider can adjust both the heat and the intensity during the session. There is no downtime, so most people go straight back to their day.
How many sessions will I need?
Consistency matters. Most people do a series of about six sessions, a week or two apart. Skin firms and muscle tone builds over the weeks after the series. Results vary from person to person, and EvolveX is not a weight-loss treatment; it works alongside healthy habits or a medical weight-loss plan.

At Serene Med Spa in Barboursville, EvolveX is $149 a session, or $799 for a series of six. The series price can’t be combined with another discount.
