The men who come to see me rarely use the word “beauty.” They say they want to look less tired, less stressed or more like themselves at work. Some are competing with younger colleagues; others just noticed a photo they didn’t like. The goal is almost always the same: look better without anyone being able to tell why.

That goal shapes everything about how I treat men. Below are the treatments men ask about most often in our Hudson and Barboursville offices, and what makes male aesthetics different.

Why men need a different approach

The most popular treatments for men

Neuromodulators for forehead and frown lines

Botox and other FDA-approved neuromodulators remain the most requested treatment. For men, I aim to soften the scowl between the brows and horizontal forehead lines while keeping the brow low and natural. Botox is $11 per unit in Hudson and $10 per unit in Barboursville; because men often need more units, we give you a specific estimate at consultation.

Jawline and chin definition

A defined jaw and a chin with good projection are central to a masculine profile. Hyaluronic acid jawline filler and chin filler can sharpen these contours. When fullness under the chin is the issue, Kybella may reduce a small pocket of fat.

Laser hair removal

Back, shoulders, chest and the neck line below the beard are common requests. For men prone to razor bumps, reducing hair in the neck area can also cut down on ingrown hairs.

Hair restoration

Thinning hair is a major concern for many men. PRP hair restoration uses growth factors from your own blood to support existing follicles. It works best for early to moderate thinning, not for areas that are already bald, and it’s often combined with medical therapy.

Skin quality and sun damage

Many men skipped sunscreen for decades. Peels, microneedling and light-based treatments can improve texture, enlarged pores and brown spots.

Body and health

Some men pursue body contouring or medical weight loss. In Hudson, men can also explore our men’s health services, including hormone evaluation. I always start hormone conversations with lab work and a careful look at symptoms, because low energy has many possible causes.

Who should hold off or get checked first

All injectables and lasers at Serene are performed or supervised by trained medical professionals under my oversight.

Keeping it subtle

For a first visit, I usually suggest starting with one area, reassessing after two weeks, and adding from there. Most men prefer that approach: small steps, no obvious change overnight, and people simply comment that they look well rested.

Frequently asked questions

Will people be able to tell I had Botox?

With conservative dosing and a male-specific technique, most people just notice you look more rested.

Do men need more Botox than women?

Often, yes, because male facial muscles tend to be larger and stronger. We tailor the dose to your anatomy.

Does laser hair removal work on gray or blond hair?

Generally not well. Lasers target pigment in the hair, so light, gray or white hair responds poorly.

Is filler only for women?

No. Jawline and chin filler are among the most popular filler treatments for men.
